This is the site to obtain authentic prints and original artwork produced inside Oregon's prisons. Proceeds go to support artists currently incarcerated, and a portion goes to assist with rehabilitative programming inside Oregon prisons.

ARTISTS

Brian Hessel has been incarcerated for over 36 years. After taking art history class through Penn State, he focuses on hand reproduction of the Masters. His art has helped him cope with the stress of prison and navigating the legal system. He currently resides at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem, Oregon.

Francisco Hernandez has been drawing and painting inside the walls of OSP for years, donating many pieces to raise money for non-profits and charities. He has since been released and looks forward to a productive life after prison.

Various Artists will be featured as pieces come in and will be available for purchase. Whenever possible short bios will be available about the artists.

What is the origin of the artwork?
The artwork available on our site is created by individuals in prison, showcasing their artistic expression and personal stories. Many of these individuals will spend countless hours with light from a single 60 watt bulb to create these pieces. Some use existing art while others create original pieces.
Can I return purchased artwork?
Due to the unique nature of each piece, we do not accept returns. Please choose carefully and feel free to reach out with any questions before purchasing.How is the artwork priced?
Prices are set based on the artist's input and the materials used. We aim to ensure fair compensation for the artists while making art accessible to you. All artwork is shipped free in the United States.
Can I support the artists directly?
While purchases through our site support the artists, we also encourage you to learn more about their stories and consider other ways to support their creative journeys. If you would like to contasct the artist please leave a message and we will ask the artist before providing any personal contact information.
Is the artwork suitable for all audiences?
